From the moment you step into Red Buffalo Brewing Co., you're greeted with warm, friendly smiles that make you feel instantly at home. The eclectic decor, with intriguing figurines around every corner, ensures there's always something captivating to catch your eye. Strangers quickly become friends in this welcoming environment.

The night of Matt Walsh & The Movers' performance was electric with the true blues spirit. Riveting guitar solos filled the air, bringing a surge of energy to the small but growing crowd. Just three songs into the set, enthusiastic shouts of "Hell yeah!" echoed from the back of the bar. The powerful performance poured out onto the sidewalk, drawing in passersby off the street, eager to catch a glimpse of Matt & The Movers' raw, unfiltered blues.
When it comes to playing blues music, the approach is often unorthodox, with no rigid rules. This band embodies the very essence of raw blues - what you see is what you get. No reliance on tablets, monitors or sheet music, just the pure, organic flow of guitar riffs and drum beats.

The raw power of Matt's soulful rendition of a B.B. King classic captivated the bar. As he effortlessly wove fluid, bluesy triad patterns on the guitar, the audience drew closer, eager to witness his mastery. Mid-set, a voice from the crowd shouted, "Matt, when ya gonna put some stank on that thang!?" Without missing a beat, he replied, "Right now!" and launched into his original song, "Take It Easy On Me." The pulsing drum solo that followed found Matt mirroring the rhythms, channeling the spirit of an old-school jam session. But the true highlight came when Matt and the bassist engaged in a mesmerizing duel of soundscapes, each trying to one-up the other.

While the technical virtuosity on display was impressive, it was the compelling storytelling woven into the original compositions that truly captivated the audience, leaving them eager for more.

When you are at a Matt Walsh & The Movers show, don't hesitate to get your groove on. Its guaranteed that before the first song ends, these boys will have you kicking it into high gear!
